BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to data released by the NCAA on Wednesday, Boise State Athletics surpassed its all-time best NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR).
The latest figures include the cohort that entered college during the 2016-17 academic year, while the four-class average includes student-athletes who entered college from 2013-14 through the 2016-17 academic years.
The Broncos recorded a four-class average GSR of 94 percent, the top overall score in the Mountain West this year and tied for the highest in conference history. Boise State set or tied its department record in the last 15 reports.
Members of this cohort include the following Boise State graduates.
- Alexander Mattison: football, current running back for the Minnesota Vikings.
- Courtney McGregor represented her home country of New Zealand at the 2016 Olympics.
- Kendra Noneman: women's track and field and a Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University.
- Raimee Sherle Ranstrom: soccer and named to the Mountain West 25th Season Soccer Team.
The department had five women's sports programs: basketball, golf, gymnastics, tennis and volleyball and recorded perfect GSR scores of 100 percent along with golf in the last 18 reports.
On the men's side, football's 95 percent GSR is the highest in program history and matches the Air Force's score for the best in Mountain West history. Among Football Bowl Subdivision programs, the Broncos have the eighth-best overall score.
