Kat Graham is heating up Italy โ in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the Vampire Diaries alum shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while enjoying a European vacation. "Amalfi Summers. ๐๐ค๐ฝ๐ฎ๐นโค๏ธ," she captioned the Instagram post. "you're absolutely stunning!!! ๐๐๐," commented one of her followers. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Kat is a dancer. "I've been a dancer since I was three years old, so I assumed I didn't need to do any other exercise. But once I got busy shooting the show, I wasn't going to dance class as often," she told Runner's World. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
Kat recently became a runner. "So two years ago, I bought three treadmillsโone for my room on set, one for my house in Atlanta, and another for my house in L.A," she told Runner's World. "I run nothing less than about two miles a day. I have to do it in the morning. If I don't start my day with running, I let the day beat me up a little bit; if I get it done, I have a really clear head. I hope one day I can run 10 miles without stopping. I can do five, but not more than that. I'm working tirelessly toward it every day."
Kat prioritizes strength over skinny. "I'm somebody who prides myself on not being some skinny, frail actress. I like the fact that my fans look at me and think, "She's got muscular legs and she likes to work out." I'll never be this tiny thing, and I love the fact that when I run I embrace that," she told Runner's World.
Kat oftentimes gets her nutrients from juice. "When I have a big day where I might have a lot of press, I'll juice during the day. There's a lot of really great juices that really bring out your skin. I didn't juice all day today, I snuck in a few French fries, but I did drink a lot of aloe as well," she told XONecole.
Kat understands that beauty isn't just what you slap on your face, but what you put inside of your body. "You've got to eat well. A lot of people think they're going to have great skin just through topicals, and sure, there are plenty of products that can get you to a really great place. But if you're not eating well, if you're not drinking enough water, if you're leading a stressful life, if you're smoking, if you're sponsoring your bad habits, your stress and anger will show and it will manifest into a pimple, or redness, or an extra wrinkle you don't want. How you treat your body and deal with the world is huge," she told XONecole.
