Early Life and Education

Preston Arsement was born on May 4, 1994 in Dallas, Texas. He has five siblings: David, Daka, Keeley, Caleb, and Joshua, the latter three of whom have their own YouTube channels. When Arsement was just a few months old, his parents divorced. He was educated at the Travis Academy of Fine Arts. Arsement also earned an IT-1 certification as a teen for teaching himself how to build computers.

YouTube Career

Arsement launched his first YouTube channel, the FPS games channel TBNRfrags, in late 2010. At one time focused on "Call of Duty" gameplay, it later became primarily a "Fortnite" channel. TBNR stands for "The Best Never Rest," and includes Arsement's friends and fellow YouTubers TBNRKenWorth and ChocoTheChocobo. Arsement started his second YouTube channel, PrestonGamez, in late 2014; however, it never saw any uploads. He went on to launch PrestonRoblox in 2017, a channel focused on "Roblox" gameplay. Arsement later changed the name to PrestonGamez. In the spring of 2018, he started what would become his most popular channel, PrestonPlayz, formerly called PrestonMinecraft. Featuring "Minecraft" gameplay, the channel has amassed over 14 million subscribers.

A year after launching PrestonPlayz, Arsement created PrestonCosmic, a channel devoted to the "Minecraft" server CosmicPvP. With fellow YouTuber MrWoofless, Arsement owns the server. He next launched PrestonShorts, a channel focused on short video clips of challenges and pranks. In mid-2021, Arsement started PrestonCartoonz, which includes clipart animation of "Roblox" gameplay designed by NewScape Studios. After that, in early 2022, Arsement launched the reaction channel PrestonReacts, which showcases him reacting to an assortment of videos.
