Evolution was a historic event for WWE. It was the first ever all-women’s pay-per-view that featured female wrestlers from different eras. The first and last event was main evented by the UFC Hall of Famer, Ronda Rousey. She left the company a year ago, and now she has a lot to discuss. Recently, the Rowdy One shed some light on the scrapped plans of Evolution 2.

In an interview with Ring The Belle, Rousey said that WWE offered her a match with Becky Lynch at Evolution 2 in 2019. She revealed that the company asked her to stay. In return, they would give her the anticipated match with Big Time Becks six weeks after WrestleMania. The Baddest Women on the Planet claimed it was bait for her to be a part of WWE even after WrestleMania 35, as she had already made up her mind to leave.

But, yeah, they tried to dangle that carrot for me, but I couldn’t. Hopefully, they’ll bring it back. I don’t think that they need me for it. I think that they’re past that point. They just need to believe in the women,

Moreover, Ronda Rousey is optimistic about WWE bringing back Evolution. She admitted that they don’t need her anymore to be a part of it. Rousey put in a plea that WWE should put more trust in women. She referred to the fact that once the women’s division sold out a venue, and now the stories are just too lackluster to even draw ratings during the weekly shows.

Furthermore, the 37-year-old recently talked about a potential return to WWE. She expressed the possibility of a comeback now that Vince McMahon is gone. The Rowdy One had some serious issues with Mr. McMahon, and she has been regularly opening up about them in numerous interviews. She even addressed the resentment she had with the booking of the WrestleMania 35 main event, which paved the way for her departure.

Ronda Rousey revealed the initial plans for her first run in WWE

Ronda Rousey had one of the best rookie years in WWE. She had a stellar debut at WrestleMania 34 and went on to become Women’s Champion at SummerSlam the same year. However, there was something different in the mind of the Rowdy One initially.

Speaking on Ring The Belle, the former Women’s Champion revealed that she planned to have a run from WrestleMania 34 to Survivor Series 2018. She was supposed to have a match with Becky Lynch at the event in November, and it would then mark the official start of her being part-time. However, the 37-year-old revealed that it was Triple H who convinced her to move the schedule until WrestleMania.

I was always saying, ‘Oh, I want to go from WrestleMania until Survivor Series,’ and then Triple H convinced me to stay from WrestleMania to WrestleMania, and I promised my family like, ‘That’s it.'

The UFC Hall of Famer stated that she was not willing to do it, but she asked her family and promised to be back once the Show of Shows in New York was set and done. It marked the start of Rousey’s hiatus that came to an end at Royal Rumble 2022 when she returned. The second run was nothing like the first one, as it was full of a lackluster series of feuds and matches.
